Today we:

1. Drove along the coast.

2. Saw wreckage of the plane that crashed in 1942 whilst trying to deliver supplies to survivors of the Dunedin Star shipwreck. 

3. Traversed a large dunefield.

4. Slid our Land Cruiser down into the Hoarusib gorge.

5. Drove along the Hoarusib riverbed, which looked a lot like Mars.

6. Watched our guide chase, dive and capture a shovel snouted lizard.

7. Held said lizard.

8. Set up camp at Sarusas Springs.

Today we leave our comforts behind and embark on a 9 day journey up the Skeleton Coast of Namibia alongside our driver Elago, support vehicle driver Kai and support vehicle assistant Kamu.

First stop: Mowe Bay.

This month we stayed in cottages, bungalows, villas, a fair amount of tents and one library.
