Today we discovered a trampoline in our backyard.

Today we left Oudtshoorn, heading south and east and arrived at The Crags, a beautiful, why don't we live here forever stop along the Garden Route. The Crags comes complete with dense forest, tall mountains, loads of wildlife, neighboring beaches and The Redford House, the greatest B&B on planet Earth.
Owners Clive and Colleen Noble greeted us as if we were old friends, and we immediately felt at home on their charming historic property. The grounds contain hiking trails, gardens, a historic renovated farm house, swimming pool, tennis court, art studio, lake, fishing poles, canoes and sprawling oak trees.
We booked the Carriage House, one of the cottages on property and beyond suitable accommodation for three nights. However, Colleen informed us we would be upgraded to the Noble House and in a matter of seconds we went from mediocre peasants to high nobility.
We were now the proud renters of a double story Cape Georgian style house, furnished with antiques, love, and even a book about Charleston, South Carolina.
This would do just fine.

Today we toured around Oudtshoorn, the “ostrich capital of the world” and largest town in the Klein Karoo region of South Africa. Also our new home for two nights.
We hit the road, and were immediately stopped by a large family of baboons. After watching them slowly but safely cross the highway, we were off to the Cango Caves.
The Cango Caves are really taking the cave scene to another level. They are situated in a limestone ridge, and inside are dripstone caverns with vast halls of insane formations. The stalagmites and stalactites seem to just be showing off.
After some good caving, we took off for the Swatberg Pass, which cuts through the Swatberg mountain range and connects the towns of Oudtshoorn and Prince Albert. The pass was everything we could’ve hoped for. It was just us, lots of mountain formations, beautiful plants and even a place to stop for PB&N’s.
Afterward, we headed back to town for a drink with a view.
