Today we took a day trip and hit up these places:

Tegenungan Waterfall - a beautiful albeit touristy waterfall.

Gunung Kawi - An 11th century temple and funerary complex complex with rice fields surrounding.

Tampak Siring - Otherwise known as the Holy Spring Water Temple. A sacred Hindu Temple where locals travel to purify the soul and mind. The showers sourced from the springs are thought to eliminate disease and bad influences in the body and spirit.

Kopi Luwak Coffee Plantation - A place to learn all about the coffee production on Lombok and taste as well.

Tegallalang Rice Terraces - The place to go to see rice terraces. Vast, gorgeous, rice-y.

Tonight we drank strong coffee at Senimen Coffee Studio, where brewing coffee is equal parts science, art and love.

Today we asked a local artist if he would paint a small, wooden elephant for our collection. It's perfect.
